The Science of Clean

All PlaneAire products undergo rigorous lab testing, even when it is not required. PlaneAire® uses fruit acids and organic essential oils to achieve a higher level of clean. We call it “Science guided by nature.”

PlaneAire Clean Surface & Air Mist and Clean Surface Wipes are proven to leave surfaces hygienically clean, based on laboratory testing.

The plant-based power of PlaneAire Clean harnesses the power of fruit acids and our proven PlaneAire Blend® of pure certified organic essential oils: Peppermint, Lemon Peel, Oregano, Thyme, and Lavender. The six essential oils in PlaneAire® were carefully chosen after testing 11 unique formulations in the lab.

Our essential oils are steam-distilled or cold-pressed from plants grown sustainably and pesticide-free in the USA, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, and India, and certified by accredited organic associations. We will never use cheaper non-organic essential oils or dilute our oils with vegetable oils.

Lemon peel oil has an assertive lemon aroma and is derived from the rind of the lemon, lemon flowers, twigs, and fruit. It can be cold-pressed or steam-distilled to produce this essential oil. In PlaneAire, lemon oil gently penetrates and lifts dirt from surfaces, leaving a refreshing scent

Fruit acids/citric acids are healthy and gentle acids from fermented fruits, which you know as the tartness in lemons, limes, apples, and pears. They powerfully boost the cleaning power of essential oils. They also act as preservatives by preventing the growth of bacteria, yeasts, and molds and helping to control bad smells.

Lavender oil (Lavandula Angustifolia) is a multipurpose oil used in many fragrances, soaps, etc., with calming and sleep-inducing effects.

Oregano oil (Origanum Vulgare) is very popular for Italian cooking, with many health benefits. Leaves behind that light, fresh scent you love. It is a natural preservative that keeps the spray fresh.

Peppermint oil (Mentha Piperita) is extracted from the leaves and flowers of the peppermint plant, with a familiar bright minty scent. Peppermint is a natural preservative that keeps PlaneAire products smelling fresh.

Rosemary oil (Rosmarinus Officinalis) gently penetrates and lifts dirt from surfaces, leaving a refreshing scent.

Thyme oil (Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) is a fragrant flowering plant used widely for flavoring foods, which also acts as a preservative.
