Lavender By The Bay, New York

Lavender by the Bay, located in East Marion, New York, is one of the largest lavender farms in the USA and offers a unique and exciting outdoor experience. The family-owned and operated fields opened in 2002 and they now have nearly 100,000 plants.

While tickets were limited in 2020, summer 2021 will offer the first opportunity in months to experience the wonderful English and French lavender at Lavender by the Bay. The French lavender is usually in full bloom in early July, but weather can play a factor in the exact timing of the bloom. The English lavender tends to blossom in mid-June and mid-September. During the blooms, the fields are open seven days a week but tickets have been limited so be sure to check the Lavender by the Bay website for availability.

Once arriving, you are encouraged to walk through the fields. The fields are vast and awe inspiring. After taking all your insta-worthy photos, relax in one of the many comfortable Adirondack chairs placed around the fields.

If you are looking to stay in the area overnight, there are many quaint Bed and Breakfasts nearby. The Cliffside Resort is also another great option as it offers easy beach access and stunning views.
